Jameson The name Jameson in Ireland is usually of Scottish origin having been brought to the Province of Ulster in the seventeenth century. The native Gaelic MacSheamuis Sept also adopted Jameson as the anglicized form of their name, as well as MacKeamish. This Sept name literaly means 'son of Sheamus'.
