Logan The name Logan in Ireland has a number of origins. It is derived from the native Gaelic O'Leoghain Sept that is also rendered as Lohan. It is of Norman origin from the name de Logan and it is also of Scottish immigrant origin being derived from the name Lagan. The O'Leoghain Sept was based initially in County Westmeath but later migrated to County Galway.
