Examples of such are a Hamo de Denton, County Norfolk, who was recorded in the 'Hundred Rolls', England, in the year 1273. A Johannes de Denton was recorded in the 'Poll Tax', of the West Riding of Yorkshire, in the year 1379. A William Baw and Elizabeth Denton were married in Saint James, Clerkenwell, in the year 1626.
